Dominic Liples' brother, Ciarlo, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch on Thurs. Apr. 4. Both teams will be wearing special gold laces.

On Thursday, April 4, 2019, CB West Baseball—and our opponents for the game, Pennridge High School—will wear special gold laces in support of theLace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer program. 

In addition, Ciarlo Liples—Dominic Liples' brother—will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game. The Liples family will also be in attendance.

Throughout 2016, Dominic captured the hearts of the Doylestown community with his brave battle against brain cancer. #PRAYFORDOMINIC signs and social media posts were plentiful as businesses, families, and schools showed their love and support for the Liples family.

CB West Baseball was proud to have Dominic throw out the first pitch at our final 2016 varsity home game, May 16. As he stood on the pitcher's mound in his authentic CB West Baseball cap, his smile lit up the entire field, and it was hard to find a dry eye in the stands or on the sidelines--or even on the benches.

On Dec. 7, 2016, Dominic lost his battle, but he left a lasting impression on the community, and especially on CB West Baseball.

In 2017, CB West Baseball established theDominic Liples Scholarship Fund. The $500 scholarship honors a CB West Baseball senior player who best represented Dominic's consistent positive attitude and ability. Aaron Worthington was the first recipient of the award in June 2017. Trevor D’Arcy was the recipient in 2018. CB West Baseball also wore Dominic's "DL" initials on our caps throughout the 2017 season.

CB West Baseball will also accept toy donations to benefit theChildren's Hospital of Philadelphia's Oncology Department.
