On March 13th and 14th Students athletes from CB West headed to Bucknell University to compete in the 2024 PIAA Swimming and Diving Championships
Connor Mangan, Blaise Hofmann, Derek Feldman, Max McCloskey, Jimin Chung, Nate Liang, Karl Linde & Luke Tomlinson represented the CB West Boys Swim Team at the PIAA State Championship meet at Bucknell University. Overall team finished in 6th place, which is the highest place any Central Bucks School has ever finished at the PIAA State Championship Meet.
Both the 200 Medley Relay & 400 Freestyle Relay of Connor Mangan, Derek Feldman, Jimin Chung and Blaise Hofmann, placed 3rd, setting new team records and achieving an All-American status. Connor Mangan set a new team record in the 200 Freestyle finishing in 8th place. Blaise Hofmann set new team records in the 200 IM and 100 Backstroke placing 2nd and 7th respectively. Derek Feldman set new team records in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle placing 4th and 6th respectively. Jimin Chung placed 3rd in the 200 IM and 16th in 100 Butterfly.
Maddie Majewski, Madeline Cutting, Liv Shaffer, Marley Swain and Sydney Petty represented the CB West Girls Swim Team at the PIAA State Championship meet at Bucknell University. The teams goal was to swim well and move up in the rankings Maddie Majewski moved from 15th – 12th place in the 100 butterfly breaking the school record. Maddie also moved from the 26th seed to placing 23rd in the 100 free. The 400 free relay with Maddie, Madeline Cutting, Liv Shaffer and Marley Swain improved their 23rd seed to 22 place! The girls are an incredibly group of young ladies who represented CB West with grace and class.
